PRISMA-ready records
The PRISMA flow diagram starts with the search — Symmathy makes it reproducible.
PRISMA 2020 requires reviewers to report which databases were searched, on what date, with which terms, and how many records came from each. Symmathy logs all of it automatically: every database queried, every search string, every timestamp, every record count.
What Symmathy gives you for PRISMA
- • Database list with counts. Every search returns "PubMed: 412, Europe PMC: 198, Cochrane: 23 ..." for the Identification box.
- • Query string log. The exact terms sent to each database, including per-source syntax translation, exportable as CSV.
- • Timestamps. Search dates per source — the metadata methods sections require.
- • Deduplication report. A count of records removed by DOI / PMID / title-match before screening.
- • RIS / BibTeX / CSV export. Hand records off to Covidence, Rayyan, DistillerSR, or EndNote for title/abstract and full-text screening.
Where Symmathy fits in the PRISMA flow
Symmathy is the Identification and pre-screening step. The screening itself — dual-reviewer title/abstract review, conflict resolution, full-text retrieval, risk-of-bias — happens in your screening tool of choice. Use Symmathy for the searches, then export.
