Abstract screening
Title and abstract screening starts with a complete record set.
If a relevant paper never made it into your record set, no amount of dual-reviewer screening will recover it. Symmathy's job is the upstream step: pull titles and abstracts from every relevant database, translate the non-English ones inline, and hand a clean export to your screening tool.
What Symmathy returns for each record
- • Title and abstract in the original language, plus inline English translation when needed.
- • Author list, journal, year, DOI, PMID, and original-source URL.
- • Source database label — so you know which records came from LILACS vs. PubMed vs. J-STAGE.
Where the actual screening happens
Export to Covidence, Rayyan, DistillerSR, or any RIS-compatible tool for dual-reviewer screening, conflict resolution, and full-text review. Symmathy doesn't try to replace those — it makes sure they start with the right records.
What Symmathy will not do
No quality scores. No "include / exclude" recommendations. No journal rankings. Screening decisions belong to the reviewer.
